A trading bot is not profitable or unprofitable. It is a cost structure applied to your decisions, and the honest question is whether it costs less than trading manually.<\/p>\n
That question has an answer you can calculate.<\/p>\n
It does not generate returns. It executes your trades with a particular set of costs and a particular set of protections.<\/p>\n
So the comparison is not between using a bot and making money. It is between your results with a bot and your results without one, on the same decisions.<\/p>\n
Anyone presenting it otherwise is describing something else.<\/p>\n
Banana Gun charges 0.5 percent on Ethereum manual buys and limit orders and 1 percent on other supported chains.<\/p>\n
On a round trip that is one to two percent of position value. Meaningful, and consistently the least important number in the calculation.<\/p>\n
Slippage is the difference between the price you expected and the price you received, caused by your order moving a pool.<\/p>\n
On a thin meme coin pool this routinely exceeds the fee, sometimes by a wide margin, and it applies on the way out as well as the way in.<\/p>\n
Most traders never measure it, which is why they argue about fees.<\/p>\n

Chase a moving token three times and the failures alone can exceed what the position would have cost in fees. On Solana failures are cheap, which changes the correct slippage setting entirely.<\/p>\n
A visible pending transaction can be front-run. Someone buys ahead, your order moves the price, they sell into it.<\/p>\n

A position that runs and round trips back to entry because nobody was watching costs the entire gain. That single event outweighs a year of fee differences.<\/p>\n
Automated exits do not improve your token selection. They convert a portion of your winners into realised gains rather than unrealised memories.<\/p>\n
If you trade infrequently, hold established assets, and are present when you need to be, a bot adds cost and little else.<\/p>\n
If you trade volatile assets across chains at any frequency, the costs it removes generally exceed the fee it adds, mostly through exits and blocked contracts rather than through execution speed.<\/p>\n
A one percent round trip cost is trivial across ten trades a year and substantial across ten a week.<\/p>\n
Work out your actual trade count before deciding anything. Traders who compare fee structures usually have a rough idea and are frequently out by a factor of two.<\/p>\n

Traders comparing fee structures while sizing inconsistently are optimising the second decimal place of a number whose first digit they have not controlled.<\/p>\n
Track your total round trip cost for a month. Fee, slippage, failed transaction gas, and the difference between your expected and actual fills.<\/p>\n
Then compare it against what you lost in the same period to late exits and to contracts you should not have bought.<\/p>\n
Almost nobody runs this comparison, and it is the only version of the question that has a real answer.<\/p>\n
The comparison is not against a perfect manual process.<\/p>\n
It is against the manual process you actually run, including the checks you skip when rushed and the exits you postpone. That version is the honest baseline.<\/p>\n
Bots are profitable in the sense that they reduce a specific set of losses. They are not profitable in the sense of producing returns.<\/p>\n
